shrimp burgers

These were awesome! They are rather green because of the cilantro, but it did not overwhelm burger.

There are other versions of the recipe that call for pureeing half of the shrimp and chopping the other half. That’s what Kristina did and I like the burgers that way. She also used panko bread crumbs and ended up adding at least 1/4 cup more than what’s in the recipe. She said that the pureed shrimp, along with the egg and bread crumbs of course, helps hold the patties together.
I worried that these would be hard to grill but they weren’t. Make sure to chill them until they are pretty firm and then oil the patties well before you put them on the grill.
